If you'd prefer we not use images from your event, just let us know in writing before your event date and we'll honor it — no explanation needed.
If a photo of you or your child is already published and you'd like it removed, contact us at info@staarent.com and we'll take it down promptly.
We don't tag or identify guests by name without permission.
Guests, venues, and other vendors may capture and share their own photos and video at your event. We don't control that content or how it's used.
When you interact with us on social platforms, those platforms collect information under their own privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
Many of the events we work — school dances, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16s, birthday parties — involve minors, and we handle that with care.
Our website is intended for adults, and we don't knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted information through our site, we'll delete it.
For information provided by a parent, guardian, or school on a minor's behalf as part of event planning, we use it only for that event. When we work with schools and youth organizations, we follow the direction of the school or organization regarding photography, recording, and communications, and we defer to whatever consent process they have in place with families.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep your information as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal, tax, insurance, and accounting obligations — typically seven years for contracts and financial records. Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe. Event photos and video may be retained indefinitely in our portfolio unless you ask us to remove them.
