A Rock Mitzvah is one of DJ Tampa's most unique and requested Bar & Bat Mitzvah enhancements, and it isn't something every entertainment company offers. If your child has always dreamed of performing in front of a crowd, our Rock Mitzvah production turns that dream into reality for a night they — and every guest in the room — will never forget.

We bring a full setup of professional-level instruments along with a professional percussionist who stays involved throughout the entire event, coaching your child on basic technique and helping them feel like the true star of their own show.

But a Rock Mitzvah isn't just for the guest of honor. My daughter's Bat Mitzvah was August 20, 2022 and John and the dancers were FANTASTIC. From the moment we walked in the door until the last song was played, he had the kids and adults dancing. You sometimes worry that the kids are going to be shy or reluctant to participate, that was not a problem AT ALL, they were non-stop. My daughter and her friends had an absolute blast and I have gotten nothing but great feedback from the adults in attendance. I took so few photos because we were all having such a good time. I can not say enough good things about Staar Entertainment and give John and his staff my highest recommendation.

We used Staar Entertainment for both our boys' Bar Mitzvahs. Each was held at the same venue, however the themes were different and of course their personalities are different. John did an amazing job from start to finish! We are picky about music played and John made every effort to adhere to our requests. The night did not stop thanks to John and his staff's constant energy. Their agenda momentum kept the kids and the adult partying all night long. John was even on the dance floor dancing with the kids and our dancers. I can tell he genuinly enjoys what he does and the kids really take to him. Highly recommend!
